Wake up early and go to Waikiki for some early beach action. Bigger waves than the first day. Perfect breaks once again. After some sandwiches, we go for some authentic Hawaiian shaved ice. You can tell it's authentic because of the way the ice is shaved. Extra fine, it melts in your mouth.
From there we went over to Ford Island and Pearl Harbor. The last ferry left before we got there so we could only see the the USS Arizona Memorial from the shore. We did get to look at the museum and snap some pictures before leaving for our lu'au.
From there, we went to our first Hawaiian lu'au at Paradise Cove. We got the deluxe package with full Hawaiian menu of kalua pig, lomi lomi salmon, ahi, and fried chicken and an full open bar. There were also many activities such as canoe riding and lei making. Once dinner started, we were entertained by dancers performing different dances from the Hawaiian culture. The food was so good, we smuggled some home.
